Byzantium Legionnaire

In the universe of Warhammer 40k, there is a planet called Byzantium, an old world filled with rich heritage and history. On this world they have their own form of the Imperial Guard called the Legions, which are organized somewhat differently than standard Guard divisions.

Byzantium is a world where High Gothic (Latin) is the language of common parliance, and architecture, art, and society are heavily based on Republican Rome.

So I wanted their Legionnaires to have a certain Romanesqu look to them. The armor is based on classical Lorica Segmentata of the Roman Legions. (Though of course crafted from strips of high-tech polymer rather than steel) The helmet is the classic Galea type. The lasgun is of the Pilum model, manufactured locally.

It's all part of the fluff for our Warhammer 40k roleplays...
