Athena Dove

Athena Dove was a Garou (Werewolf) of the Stargazer tribe. However, she was a Metis (A werewolf born to two werewolf parents…which is viewed as incest), and she was born with a terrible birth defect…

She had no claws.

A werewolf with no claws!

She was shunned and reviled by the Lupines, made an outcast. But, she was taken in by Caitlin O’Rourke, the Verbena True Mage. She raised the girl as her own, giving her a loving home. When she became an adult, she sought out an Uktena shaman to seek out some way to join Garou society.

Athena undertook a long and perilous vision quest, with the help of some other young Garou who were also friends of Caitlin O’Rourke. At the end of the quest, she found a silver sword (A Klaive) that became spiritually bonded to her. The sword became her claws, so to speak. She could make it disappear into the umbra and call it back when needed. She returned to the Stargazers with the sword, and impressed with her resolve, they allowed her into the tribe.

She was a pragmatic girl, and having been an outcast shunned for her nature, she took a more enlightened look at Vampires, True Mages, and even ordinary humans. She was a hell of a swordswoman, and was merciless against both Vampires and the Technocracy who dared offend mother nature. She befriended and was briefly romantically linked to Derek Mateijik (the Crafter), and discovered it was he who had fashioned the blade she had bonded with (at Caitlin’s request). Coming to see him as more of a father figure, they broke off the relationship but remained close friends.

She vowed never to marry, nor bear children, unwilling to pass the curse of the Metis to another generation.
